"Nothing in this world is worth having or doing unless it means effort, pain, or difficulty."

                              ~Theodore Roosevelt

Everyone has a different story to success. After receiving my bachelors degree from Livingstone College (2006), I transitioned into various careers. Between working on another bachelors degree in broadcast journalism, studying for the law school admission test (LSAT), and working two jobs, I decided it was time to concentrate on "one career path." With extreme enthusiasm for sports and interest in the communications field, I begin to initiate a career in sports communications.

Making it happen. Without any ambiguity, I begin networking in efforts to turn my dream into a reality. While working a full-time job as an executive assistant and coaching high school cheerleading, I began devoting time to organizations, where I could contribute my knowledge in communications. My first step into sports began in 2008, whereas, I worked with professional athletes in the Tampa Bay Area, focusing on increasing awareness for their prespective foundations. Following my recent completion of the Sports Management Program (August 2014), I have continued to put forth hardwork and perserverance in order to continue to build and sustain professional relationships with many sports professionals.

Center of my joy. When you put your faith in God, he will not fail you. I have crossed many bumpy roads during this journey and had some set backs, but continued to keep in mind that everything happens according to His will. For everything that he has done for my family, friends and I, I will continue to remain humble and lift up his name.

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up" (James 4:10 NIV).

The best is yet to come. Becoming an attorney was always my initial long-term goal. Receiving my Masters Degree in Sports Management is a great accomplishment and I am beyond blessed, but I know God is not done with me yet. I know that I am bound for more greatness.
